Q. What is photo restoration?
A. Photo restoration is the process of improving the quality of old photos that are either damaged, have faded naturally or in need of some colour.
Q. How long does it take to restore an image?
A. Because we offer a completely online service, our restore times are quicker than our competitors. Once the image is received, We typically aim to have your photos restored and sent back to you within 2-3 days. However because some photos are more danged than others. It can take up to 5 days.
Q. Do you use AI?
A. 95% of the time our skilled artists use the latest state of the art photo editing software from start to finish. In some cases though the help of a AI generated image is required to produce the best possible outcome. Although AI is a ground breaking tool that works wonders with photo editing and scenic creation. With photo restoration the technology is not quite there yet. Especially when trying to remove cracks and creases from faces etc. But it can come in handy if usual methods are unable.
Q. Can all photos be restored?
A. For the most yes, but unfortunately there are some photos that are damaged beyond repair. But we will take on any challenge. Our talented artist has worked wonders over the years on some of the most servery damaged photos.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. Prices are measured on the severity of the damage on the photos. Prices start from £9,99 (approx $13 USD) and are capped at £39,99 (approx $52 USD). If you are quoted a better price elsewhere, we will beat that price. Also be sure to take advantage of our multiple edit discount by sending in more than one photo for restoration.
Q. How do I scan photos?
A. Scanning photos is a simple process. Please be sure to select the recommended resolution for the best results. Most home scanners will have resolution settings up to 600 dpi. We recommend for Images 1 to 7 inches long, set the scanner to 600 dpi(dots per inch), and all photos above 7 inches set the scanner to 300 Dpi
